Women's Diagnostic Ultrasound Center
Sonograms and ultrasound services at Genesis OB/GYN are provided by board certified OB/GYN physicians, with special insight into the subtleties of female anatomy and fetal development.
The Center is accredited by the American Institute of Ultrasound Medicine (AIUM) to perform first, second and third trimester obstetrical ultrasounds, and gynecological and abdominal ultrasounds. AIUM accreditation is the hallmark of an ultrasound practice that meets nationally accepted standards of patient care, demonstrates consistent excellence, and is current with the latest ultrasound technology.
Sonograms during pregnancy: Sonograms are done when medically indicated (to assist us in determining your due date, to check on the growth of the baby, to assess bleeding, to survey the baby and placenta, etc). We only order sonograms and ultrasounds for medical reasons.

Nicholas J. Montalto, M.D.
Crossroads OB/GYN
Nicholas J. Montalto, M.D., is the director of the Women’s Diagnostic Imaging Center at Genesis OB/GYN.
Dr. Montalto completed medical school at the New York Medical College, Valhalla, NY, followed by his internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Winthrop University Hospital, Mineola, NY. Dr. Montalto is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
He joined Crossroads OB/GYN in 1998.
Robert J. Kahler, M.D.
Generations Healthcare for Women
Dr. Kahler completed medical school at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, Winston-Salem, North Carolina, in 1980, followed by residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Maine Medical Center, Portland, Maine in 1984. He relocated to Tucson in 1999 where he was in private practice, and joined Generations Healthcare for Women in 2004.
Dr. Kahler is board certified by the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
