A native of Alsace, France, Dr. Catherine Westerband attended University Louis Pasteur of Strasbourg, France, prior to coming to the United States.  She completed a residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology at University Hospitals of Cleveland, the primary teaching affiliate of Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio.  Dr. Westerband is board certified by the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and also a Diplomat of the European Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. 

Guided by growing experience and a strong heritage, Dr. Westerband is interested in prenatal care and various methods of delivery that she is always willing to discuss with the expectant mother.

Dr. Westerband has a special interest in emerging gynecological surgery methods and the new laparoscopic approaches.  She offers in-office procedures, including endometrial ablation, an alternative to hysterectomy in selected circumstances.  She enjoys educating female teenagers on reproductive health and hpv prevention as well as providing advice and treatment for symptomatic menopausal women. 

Dr. Westerband is happily married with two children. She is fluent in English, French and German, and conversational in Spanish. Her diverse hobbies include hiking, gardening, and reading historical novels.
