Endometrial Ablation for Heavy Periods
(in office and outpatient surgery center)

If you have been diagnosed with Menorrhagia, unusually heavy or long-lasting menstrual periods, your doctor may have recommended a simple, safe procedure, endometrial ablation. This procedure is done in-office and usually has you back to work the next day.

This procedure removes the lining of the uterus to control or stop bleeding. It does not involve removal of the uterus and it does not affect a woman’s hormone levels. Genesis OB/GYN physicians use the NovaSure® and Thermachoice® in-office procedures.
